If you are battling lice I highly recommend the Lice Angels! My daughter is 12 and has super thick hair. I tried everything over the counter, Mayo, fairytales, etc until I saw the Lice angels on Tik tok. I ordered two kits (I treated my oldest as well just in case) and I am so happy with the results.
